As Nigerians home and abroad celebrates Democracy Day on Wednesday 12th June, 2024 with various reflections on Nigeria's democratic journey so far, the PCRC National Chairman, Alhaji Mogaji Ibrahim Olaniyan has stressed on the importance and need for all Nigerians to believe and be fully committed to the Nigeria project.

1.       DEFINTION OF DRUG, ABUSE, ADDICTION, PRISON...

          Drug:

i.    (Pharmacology) A substance used to treat an illness, relieve a symptom, or modify a chemical process in the body for a specific purpose.

ii.     A psychoactive substance, especially one which is illegal and addictive, ingested for recreational use, such as cocaine.

iii.      There are prescription and illegal drugs.

         Abuse: It is the illegal, improper or harmful use of something.
            Drug Abuse: Misuse of, or overindulgence in, drug and/or substance abuse.

Addiction: A state of mental or physical dependence on a substance despite it's damaging effect.

Prison: It is a place of mental, emotional, or physical confinement.

..HOLDS TOWNHALL MEETING.

The PCRC Area C Command, Surulere, Lagos, under the Chairmanship of Rotarian Akibu Bankole yesterday June 11th, 2024, in conjunction with the Nigeria Police in the same Area C Command , assembled all the stakeholders in the community and security personnel at a Town hall meeting. The theme of the Town hall meeting  is " THE PRISON CALLED ILLICIT USE OF DRUGS: THE WAY OUT.

The Area Commander of Area C, Surulere, ACP Ayoola Oladunni mfr, set the ball rolling with his welcome address, in which he called for a complete collaborative efforts at eradicating drug business in all ramifications.

To further demonstrate one of the core mandates of PCRC, Area C Command, Surulere in Lagos State will today hold a Town Hall Meeting.

The theme of the meeting, expected to be attended by the Area Commander, Area C, ACP Ayoola Oladunni,mfr is "THE PRISON CALLED ILLICIT USE OF DRUGS: THE WAY OUT.

PCRC REDEEMED DIVISION HOLDS ONE-DAY SEMINAR AND INVESTITURE*

The Police Community Relations Committee (PCRC) Redeemed Division under the Owode Egba Area Command, Ogun State will hold a One-Day Seminar/Workshop and Investiture Themed: "Security in the 21st Century" with the sub-themes; Cyber Security, Community Security (The Role of Vigilantes) and Challenges of Security Agencies on Saturday 20th July, 2024 at the Redeemed Christian Bible College, (RCBC), Redemption City, Ogun State. 

The programme will commence at 10:00am with the Keynote Address to be delivered by General Pat Akem, Mission Security Adviser (MSA) while other Speakers of the day are CSP Okikiolu Joshua, Pastor Bolarinwa Josiah, Ph.D, and High Chief (Ven.) Dr. Samson K. Popoola (State Chairman PCRC Ogun State Command).

Father of the Day, Pastor E. O Adeboye, the General Overseer RCCG and Co-Chairman of the Day is the PCRC National Chairman, Alhaji Mogaji Ibrahim Aramide.

It promises to be educative and enlightening.

PCRC IBARA G.R.A./OLOKEMEJI UNIT INAUGURATED BY THE STATE CHAIRMAN

The State PCRC Chairman, yesterday Wednesday 5th June, 2024. handed over the management of Ibara G. R. A/Olokemeji Unit back to Ibara Division with a warning not to mismanage the structure again. This declaration was made yesterday evening at the Inauguration of new Excos, midwifed by a caretaker committee, when the former Excos were dissolved.

According to the State Chairman, the needed and timely intervention in the management and rescue of the unit, was missing, hence the state intervention. This led to the take over of the unit by the State, in order not to allow the unit, which was very strategic to disintegrate or go into a full blown crisis.
