The State PCRC Chairman, yesterday Wednesday 5th June, 2024. handed over the management of Ibara G. R. A/Olokemeji Unit back to Ibara Division with a warning not to mismanage the structure again. This declaration was made yesterday evening at the Inauguration of new Excos, midwifed by a caretaker committee, when the former Excos were dissolved.
According to the State Chairman, the needed and timely intervention in the management and rescue of the unit, was missing, hence the state intervention. This led to the take over of the unit by the State, in order not to allow the unit, which was very strategic to disintegrate or go into a full blown crisis.
Ven. Samson Kunle Popoola (JP), was highly elated with the putting back on track of the entire unit, which was about to be hijacked by a few individuals. He said this was the reason for the state intervention in dissolving the erstwhile Exco and putting in place a formidable caretaker committee.
He expressed his joy at the exemplary & wonderful performance and job well done by the duo of the erstwhile unit coordinator , Elder Aregbesola & the State Admin Secretary, Comrade Sanmi Ogundele.
A Patron of the Unit, Engr. Dimeji Akinhanmi charged the new excos to come up with ingenious ways of quality management of the unit, unifying the members & displaying a high sense of working together.
The outgone unit coordinator, Elder Aregbesola , in his remarks, appreciated the timely intervention of the state in the crisis, adding that the unit was heading towards destruction. He instructed the dissolved exco led by Comrade Babatunde Olatunde to hand over all PCRC materials and documents still in their possession to the new executives without any further delay.
The DPO of Ibara Division, who was represented by ASP Tajudeen Adetomiwa thanked the PCRC in all strata for their assistance & support for the Police, requesting for more.
The State Admin Secretary, Comrade Sanmi Ogundele , in his words thanked the State Chairman for giving him an opportunity to serve & midwife the unit successfully. In order not to lose Elder Aregbesola & for him to put in more efforts, the State Chairman announced his appointment as a Patron of the unit.
A revalidation certificate presented to Elder Aregbesola was subsequently handed over to the new Coordinator, Pastor Timothy Balogun & his team. The inauguration followed immediately, with the presentation of Certificates to the 13 Member Exco upon inauguration.
In the acceptance speech of the new Unit Coordinator, Elder Timothy Balogun, appealed to fellow Excos and other members to work together harmoniously and united as one. No less than seven new members, which comprise of notable, eminent personalities enrolled as new members of the unit. Group photographs were later taken.
Other eminent personalities in attendance, that admonished all members of the unit to be in unity, were the Chairmen of Ibara and Lafenwa Divisions (Shepherd Adeosun & Pastor Oluwole ) respectively. The State Sector Commander of FRSC, was ably represented at the ceremony.
On the State Chairman's entourage were the Chief of Staff, Elder Funso Bankole , State PRO, Chief Babatunde Odeyemi, State Financial Secretary, Mr. Kogbodoku, Special Adviser Media & Publicity, Mr. Olufemi Oyenekan & the Special Assistant, New Media & ICT, Mr. Macclean Adeyemi.
It is believed that the newly inaugurated excos should occupy it's hitherto strategic position.
