COMMUNIQUE ISSUED AT THE EMERGENCY EXTRAORDINARY ONLINE MEETING OF THE SOUTHWEST LEADERSHIP OF PCRC

COMMUNIQUE ISSUED AT THE END OF AN EMERGENCY EXTRA ORDINARY ONLINE MEETING OF THE SOUTHWEST LEADERSHIP OF PCRC HELD ON MONDAY 29TH, JULY, 2024 WITH THE NATIONAL CHAIRMAN ON THE PLANNED NATIONWIDE PROTEST SCHEDULED TO START ON THURSDAY 1ST AUGUST, 2024.

 The Emergency Extra Ordinary Meeting was attended by: 
 ATTENDANCE 
1) All 6 States Chairmen, 
2) The 3 Zonal Chairmen, 
3) All 6 States Youth Coordinators, 
4) All 6 States Women Coordinators
5) All National Appointees in the South West Geopolitical Zone 
6) The South West Women Coordinator
7) The South West Youths Coordinator
8) The National Vice Chairman - South West and 
9) The National Chairman 

OBSERVATIONS 
a) The meeting x-rayed all states in regards to the rumours of the planned protest. 
 
b1) The meeting concluded that the purpose of the protest is ambiguous and covered with unclear motives.
b2) That the protest lacks known and reputable coordination/leadership.
b3) Leaders of such protest in the past have dissociated themselves from the planned protest.
b4) That the planned protest from all indications and pointers, threatens to be violent.
b5) That the protest seems to be fuelled by people not presently resident in the country. 
 
CONCLUSION
c1) The National Headquarters and the South West region dissociates ourselves from the rumoured planned August 1st-10th protest.
c2) All stakeholders and leaders of PCRC in the South West region should massively sensitized members and the populace against the protest.
c3) All members should support all security agencies with every useful information to strengthen the security architecture of the region.
c4) All Nigerians should note that all government properties are made from taxpayers monies and as such, should be protected and guided jealously.
c5) All members should discourage all protest of such and play their part in the ongoing efforts to make our economy bounce back stronger and better.
c6) The leaders of the region acknowledged the good works of the government of the day, despite numerous challenges which are surmountable and equally appreciates all laudable efforts to make the Nation prosperous.
