STATE PCRC CHAIRMAN SUCCESSFULLY VISITS SEVEN AREA COMMANDS, DONATES TO THE SMOOTH TAKE OFF OF THREE NEW AREA COMMANDS

The State PCRC Chairman, High Chief Ven. (Dr) *Samson Kunle Popoola* (JP), has successfully toured and inspected a total of Seven area commands, including three newly created area commands.
To date, he has visited *Imeko, Ayetoro, Ifo, Ota, Agbara,  Idiroko & Ilaro* area commands.
He rounded off the visit at Idiroko yesterday, where he inspected the facilities on ground for a smooth take off of the area command. 
The state chairman and his team visited the palace of Oniko Laje of Idiroko, where he got assurances of solid support for police operations.
At the stakeholders meeting, the state chairman highlighted in detail the need to fully support the Nigeria Police and assist her in securing various communities .
He advised PCRC members in the area command to do all humanly possible at installing the PCRC structures in all the divisions that make up the area command especially unit formations in remote areas and amongst professional and trade associations. 
The charge was different at Ilaro, the headquarters of Ilaro area command.
Ven. *Popoola* charged the leadership of the area command to fill the gap that resulted from the creation of Idiroko area command as well as introducing younger blood into the PCRC membership.
The Chairman of Ayetoro area command, Mr. *Bello Zachariah* was announced as the liaison officer for Ilaro area command, with the chairman of Owode Yewa appointed as the deputy area command chairman.
Members requested for clarifications on controversial issues, for which comprehensive & convincing explanations were given.
The state PCRC, through the state chairman announced a donation of *N100,000* as its contribution to the smooth take off of each of *Imeko, Ifo & Idiroko* area commands.
On the state chairman's entourage were the state deputy chairman, Comrade *Abdullahi Babatunde Lawal* , the first state chairman, Chief Mrs *Feyisara Odunlami* , state admin secretary, Comrade *Sanmi Ogundele* and the Chief of Staff, Elder *Funso Bankole* JP.
Others were the Special Assistant, new media & ICT, Mr. *Macleans Adeyemi* , Mrs *Njah Linda,* Comrade *AbdulRasheed Morenikeji,* Chief *Folorunso Ogunkomaya* & Mr. *Filani* representing the Traffic & Crowd Control Marshalls.

STATE PCRC CHAIRMAN SUCCESSFULLY VISITED IFO AREA COMMAND, INAUGURATES CARETAKER COMMITTEE

The Ogun State PCRC Chairman, Ven. (Dr) *Samson Kunle Popoola* (JP), has successfully undertaken a comprehensive tour of the newly created *Ifo Area Command* .
Upon arrival at Ifo, the state chairman and his entourage paid a courtesy visit unto the Olu of Ifo Land, HRM Oba *Samuel Atanda Oladipupo* .
The Royal father gave kudos to the state PCRC chairman, for his  efforts, to facilitate the creation of the area command.
He prayed for more success for the SKP led Ogun PCRC in its programmes and activities.
The royal father was also commended, for his unquantifiable financial and moral support for the area command  infrastructure.
The Olu of Ifo's queen, Olori *Adeyemi Abosede Oladipupo* was thereafter appointed as a *Matron* of the state pcrc women committee in recognition of her support for the new area command. 
At the stakeholder's meeting proper, the turnout was massive and impressive.
Just as PCRC members, community leaders (Baales), turned out in large number, as well as artisans, market women, transport union representatives were at the meeting.
The State Chairman explained in detail how the three additional  area commands were approved.
He added that the inhabitants should do a lot more, to support the newly created area command from inception to stability stage.
He added that the creation of Ifo area command would make policing nearer to the people.
There was an opportunity for a question & answer session, while clarifications were given to not too clear issues.
And to make policing a lot easier, a caretaker committee, to be led by the incumbent chairman of Ifo division cum erudite community leader, Alhaji *Waidi Adekunle* was inaugurated for the smooth management of the area command.
Representatives of other divisions that make up the area command were also listed & announced.
This according to the state chairman, will get both PCRC & policing nearer to the people at whatever level.
The people were advised to embark on aggressive unit creation, to ensure that the committee is closer to the people and many more members participate in PCRC activities.
Other state exco members that were also on the entourage were the State Deputy Chairman, Comrade *Abdullahi Babatunde Lawal* , the first State Vice Chairman, Chief Mrs *Feyisara Odunlami* .
Others on the entourage were representatives of youth and women committees.
As soon as the state chairman's entourage left Ifo, it headed to *Onipanu division* in Ota Area Command, where members, particularly *traffic & crowd control marshalls* were educated in the forthcoming *AGM & Refresher training* on *24th September, 2024.* 
The area command tour has taken the state chairman to Imeko, Ifo & Idiroko area commands & he is expected to also visit the Ilaro area command.

STATE CHAIRMAN APPOINTS NEW PATRON AND MATRON FOR ATAN DIVISION, INAUGURATION OF NEW EXCOS TO HOLD SOON

In an attempt to find a lasting peace to the embattled Atan Ota Divisional Excos, the immediate past divisional chairman, Comrade Abatan & Alhaja Laide Kasim have today been elevated to the positions of Patron & Matron respectively .
These appointments were announced this evening as the State Chairman & the Agbara area command chairman tried to resolved the imbroglio in the division in the past two years.

The Onimeko of Imeko, HRM Oba Benjamin Olanite, has assured the PCRC Ogun Command of his readiness to completely buy into its Community Policing mantra.
According to him, this is the only remedy to the present economic & security challenges facing the country.
He disclosed this during a farewell visit to him in his palace by the State PCRC Chairman, Ven. Dr. Samson Kunle Popoola JP & his entourage, at the end of a two day visit to Imeko area command.
Oba Olanite advised his subjects and all inhabitants of his domain to do only two things for the police to enhance their job.
He advised that both logistics support and credible information will enable the police exceedingly well.
The state PCRC chairman assured the Onimeko in council that PCRC will not relent in executing its core mandates, which include supporting the police and midwife government policy at security our society.
Oba Olanite was full of appreciation to the S. K. P led Ogun PCRC for its wonderful support to Imeko/Afon area on the birth of a new area command from gestation period up to a full, active & very vibrant area command in the state.
Ven. Popoola rounded off his visit to the Yewa North axis yesterday with a visit to Ayetoro area command, before returning to base .
In arrival at Ayetoro, he and his entourage visited the area commander, ACP  Lawrence Iwodi in his office.
Later at a stakeholders meeting, the state chairman urged members of PCRC in the area command to redouble their efforts and do more.
According to him, this is as a result of the fact that the creation of Imeko area command will affect the hitherto structure of Ayetoro area command.
He assured them of his readiness to answer their call within the shortest possible time.
The area commander assured the entire PCRC, Ogun Command of his readiness to partner with the members who have shown that they are a trusted ally and partners.
He advised them to contact him on issues relating to security matters & resolve issues such as farmers'/herders clashes amicably.
According to him, cattle rearing & farming have been an age long businesses that have brought Fulanis to our communities over thirty years ago, hence they must co exist peacefully.
On the state chairman's entourage, that will continue the visit to New area commands today we're the state Deputy Chairman, Comrade Abdullahi Babatunde Lawal.
Others include the first state Vice Chairman, Chief Mrs Feyisara Odunlami, state admin secretary, Comrade Sanmi Ogundele, chief of staff, Elder Funso Bankole & representatives of women & youth committee.
The team will be visiting Ifo, Agbara & Idiroko today and tomorrow.

STATE PCRC CHAIRMAN CONTINUES HIS TOUR OF NEW AREA COMMANDS, AS HE HAS CONCLUDED A TOUR OF IMEKO & AYETORO AREA COMMANDS

The State PCRC Chairman, Ven. (Dr) *Samson Kunle Popoola* (JP), will tomorrow *Wednesday 4th September, 2024,* continue his tour of newly created area commands in the state.
Specifically, he is expected to meet stakeholders in the *Ifo area command* tomorrow *Wednesday 4th September* , *2024 @ 12noon.* 
Immediately after, he will proceed to Atan division,
Agbara area command , where new excos are expected to be inaugurated at 3pm.
Upon the  completion of the divisional inauguration, the state chairman's team will head towards Idiroko.
He's expected to have a meeting with Stakeholders in Idiroko area command on *Thursday 5th September* , *2024 @ 10am* .
On his way back to Abeokuta, a very important meeting with Stakeholders in Ilaro area command is expected to hold @ Ilaro @ *3pm on Thursday 5th September* , 2024.

During the tour, the state chairman's entourage is expected to meet with 
 *PCRC  members,* 
 *Community Leaders,* 
 *Religious Leaders,* 
 *Youth and Women Committees* in the affected areas.

 *Artisans and Unions* will not be left out at the meeting, just as he has successfully toured the Imeko & Ayetoro area commands today.

Area Command leadership and members in the affected areas are enjoined to give the visiting team the much needed cooperation and mobilisation, more so that area commanders have been deployed to the affected areas.

OGUN PCRC CHAIRMAN RECEIVES HEROIC WELCOME INTO IMEKO, FOR THE COMMISSIONING OF AREA COMMAND HEADQUARTERS

It was a heroic and a triumphant entry of the State PCRC Chairman & his team into the ancient of Imeko yesterday.

The visit was to mark the commissioning of the temporary Imeko area command headquarters, for it to become operational with immediate effect.

Members of the State Traffic & Crowd Control Marshalls were on hand, from the entry point into Imeko, leading the state team to the venue of the commissioning.
It was a well attended programme, made up of market women, representatives of  transport unions, representatives of various security agencies, community leaders & traditional rulers of Imeko and Ilara, a  border town.

The programme kicked off with the state chairman taking attendees through various ways of *collaborating, partnering  & synergising* with the Police, to ensure a secured environment.

He advised all attendees to be part of the infrastructure building, to give Imeko area command a sound footing.

He also initiated additional fundraising, to further develop and equip the area command headquarters.

According to him, the closer inhabitants get to the police, the more they enjoy them .
The Oloola of Ilara, HRM Oba *Mutiu Oyede Lawal* , charged people of Imeko and all concerned divisions to assist the police with credible information.

According to him, this is the only way policing can only be made easy, & ensure our environment is secured.

The Area Commander, ACP Mudashiru warned trouble makers to either have a change of heart or relocate immediately.
He said emphatically that Imeko area command will not condone kidnappers, abductors and other crime perpetrators, particularly foreign nationals who sneak into the area to perpetrate heinous crime.
The Onimeko of Imeko, HRM Oba *Benjamin Olanite* , in his speech reeled out many ways that the police should be supported & assisted.

The Onimeko had been in the forefront of getting the property used for the area command headquarters, mentioning names of those who have contributed to the state of the edifice, as well as housing the area commander since assumption of duty.

The Onimeko State Unit of PCRC was equally inaugurated by the State PCRC Chairman.

Representatives of market women, transport unions and community leaders made contributions, offering pieces of advise and sought clarifications on security settings.

The official commissioning was led by the Onimeko, ably assisted by the Oloola, State PCRC Chairman. & the area commander amongst others.

Later in the evening yesterday,a courtesy visit was paid to the Oloola of Ilara, while the ongoing construction of a standard edifice to house the new Ilara divisional headquarters was also inspected.

A visit was also paid to the DO of Ilara police station. 

Many members of PCRC in Imeko Yewa trooped out in large numbers to add colours to the event, led by the Deputy State Chairman, Comrade *Abdullahi Babatunde Lawal.

On the State chairman's entourage were the first state vice chairman, Chief Mrs *Feyisara Odunlami* , the state admin secretary, Comrade *Sanmi Ogundele* , chief of staff, Elder *Funso Bankole,* special assistant on new media & ICt, Comrade *Macleans Adeyemi* , representatives of the state youth and women committees.

The state team departs Imeko for Ayetoro today. The essence of the State Chairman's tour of the newly created area command is to institutionalise & replicate the PCRC structures in all the divisions in the affected area commands.

It will be the turn of Ifo and Idiroko area commands tomorrow  *Wednesday 4th and Thursday 5th September* , *2024.
